MY PLAYLIST is a series where we ask some of our favourite artists to share some of their favourite songs, and while it may give us a bit of insight into some of their influences, we’re actually more interested to know what they enjoy listening to when they’re not making music.

Over the last few months Australian five-piece Parcels have given us a few pretty great new singles, ‘Free’ & ‘Commingback’, with another one coming our way next week, and with so much new music coming from them right now we wanted to check in to see what sort of music has been inspiring them.

“Here’s a selection of soft rock and schmaltz that Noah and I have been spinning on our Monday night radio shows on Bay fm, the local community station in Byron Bay. The Monday night energy for us tends to be an interesting mix of nostalgia and reflection, where memories of the weekend are tinged with a deeper sense of love and loss.

All we crave is a steamy bath with comfortable smells and the guilty pleasures of perfectly recorded rock music from the late 70s to sooth our souls.” – Louie Swain (keyboardist)

Accompanying their last single ‘Commingback’ was a special live/acoustic performance video that was shot in the Painted Hills, South Australia, which you can also check out below and stay tuned for more new music from Parcels very soon.
