New York duo SOFI TUKKER intertwine Spanish-inspired guitar work with infectious club influence with a heated new banger titled ‘Sun Came Up’, which sees the duo team up with Chicago’s John Summit that reminds us of the craziness of the current global pandemic and the dream of opening back up to dance-floors worldwide.

SOFI TUKKER & John Summit set the tone perfectly in ‘Sun Came Up’ with a rising nature set in place for the instrumentation that allows the perfect amount of room for Sophie’s hazy melodies to take centre stage. As we get closer to the drop in the chorus, we see those trademark elements of SOFI TUKKER come to the forefront with that catchy guitar riff and vocals becoming the catalyst for change amongst the emphatic bass and drums in the backdrop that provides plenty of addictive groove throughout.

“We made this song when we were deep in quarantine, while we were dreaming about the sun coming up, so to speak. We were dreaming about dancing with people again. It’s about being together, in darkness and in sunshine. And about being able to recall that experience over and over again in our imagination and memory. It’s both nostalgic and hopeful. Looking back and looking forward to that one perfect vignette of togetherness.” – SOFI TUKKER
