This week’s HUMP DAY MIX comes from Australian producer Beso Palma who have us a very cool new single last week called ‘wait 4U’ which you will hear in the mix but we’ve also put that one down below for a little one-on-one time. We asked Beso Palma if he’d be down to do a mix for us and he has delivered a really fun 13-track collection of disco, housy, dancey treats that are sure to get you feeling real goooood.

“I wanted to make a mix that’d take you on a bit of a emotional journey. I started off with SG Lewis & Whitney Houston’s version of ‘I’m Every Woman’ because there’s just something so infectious about the way she sings that song. The mix then fluctuates between much dirtier tracks to dance-pop, soul, house with a strong electronic theme throughout, ending with my favourite deadmau5track ‘The Veldt’. The emotion that track evokes has always resonated with me from day one and I really wanted to end the mix with that beautiful euphoric and nostalgic feeling. I experimented with key changes and resampling between transitions to switch up the vibe and add a bit of suspense. I also had to include my latest single ‘wait 4U’ inspired by Fred Again.. & Disclosure that dropped last Friday (22.3.24) as more of an emotive, lyric focused track to break up the mix. I hope there’s something in there that’ll make you dance, cry or both.” – Beso Palma
