Canadian funk-lords Chromeo have just released their sixth studio album “Adult Contemporary” which is a very generous 14-track collection that has them exploring what it means to be funky in your 30s and 40s, offering the slickest, most sophisticated version of the infectious grooves and cheeky wordplay they’ve become known for. It also has that huge 2023 single ‘Replacements‘ featuring La Roux.

“20 years ago today, we released our first album. We spent the following years cutting our teeth in New York, playing shows in front of 20 people. Last night, to celebrate the release of our 𝘯𝘦𝘸 album, we took our old gear, set it up in a New York subway and played in front of 20 people. Never forget where you came from. ” ~ Chromeo (via Instagram)

I caught Chromeo playing in Sydney just a few months ago and it was such a fun show. Those guys know how to entertain. If you get the chance I totally recommend seeing them live.
