This week’s HUMP DAY MIX is coming to us from French tech-house producer Camille Doe who has curated a 15-track collection of songs that tell a story which evolves as it progresses, and as soon as that opening track starts you just know we’re in for quite a treat!
Camille also gave us a new single recently called ‘Alright’ (via Toolroom) which you will find in today’s mix but we’ve also put that below for a little one-on-one time.
“I like to prepare and see my sets like I play dominos. I try to find common denominators between the different tracks I play and telling a story which evolve during the set. Here I wanted to start with a deep and low vibe, grow in intensity through the set, and ending up with a very emotional track. I play Alright, my latest release on Toolroom in the middle of the track as « the peak time » track of this set. This is a wink to myself, a tribute to one of my main inspiration, Janet Jackson, and a reminder of a big accomplishment of becoming a music producer over the last 4 years.” ~ Camille Doe
