Ghanaian-Australian singer, songwriter and producer sibling duo Kinder continue to keep us moving and grooving all the way towards summer with their brand new EP ‘Akwaaba’, a four-track release that is jam-packed with addictive and powerful instrumentation that is the perfect backdrop for your next night out on the town.

Featuring smash hits ‘Keep Up’ and ‘Gettin’ On Ova’, ‘Akwaaba’ evokes the visual landscapes of the club dance floor with its appealing soundscapes which are quite vast and open in their manipulation that invites us as the listener to fully immerse ourselves with the goodness on offer. With those gentle vocals floating effortlessly across the top of the mix, Kinder provide plenty of depth in their production with thumping percussion intertwining with robust synths and basses that inject plenty of vigour and buzz into the spectrum.

“When we were making this new EP, it was the first time we had worked, in real life, face-to-face with people since the lockdown. We can’t explain how motivating and exciting it was, back to doing what we love. We made the record at Jono Ma’s studio in Byron Bay along with Jonti Danilewitz. It felt surreal to be somewhere so beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the sound of birds, on really our first trip out of Newcastle in a long time.” They say of the creative process of the EP. – Kinder
