He’s been working with the likes of Crooked Colours, Nat Dunn and Gorgon City on his most recent singles, and now Hayden James comes through with a mammoth new single alongside Yaeger titled ‘Waiting for Nothing’, the latest sneak peak of his forthcoming collaborative album that packs some serious energy with it’s significant synth presence throughout.

‘Waiting for Nothing’ lures us in with Yaegar‘s pristine vocals that set the tone of the narrative, all while the synth presence makes itself known in the arena slowly but surely which intensifies significantly as we approach the chorus. Hayden James shifts things up a gear once we arrive, lifting the energy with a thumping four to the flour drum pattern that injects the groove right into the core as well as the strengthened synth bass and wave of synths rising to the occasion, collectively delivering a festival-styled energy we’ve all been craving over the last two years.

“This is such a special song for me – it’s got a huge energy and Yaeger brings incredible emotion in her performance. It’s about that feeling of not knowing if you’re in the right relationship, if you’re wasting your time with the wrong person, if you’re stuck in a loop. I think a lot of people will connect with this.” – Hayden James
