Roosevelt’s debut self-titled album was my number one album of the year back in 2016, and I still listen to that album at least once a week. I just love everything about it, but most of all the way it makes me feel. No matter what’s going in the world at the time, that album just puts a glossy shine on all of it.
After months of teasing Roosevelt released his highly anticipated new album last Friday, and I am so very happy to say that he has indeed done it again. ‘Young Romance’ is a 12-track collection of his signature uplifting synth-pop sounds, and I have no doubt this album is going to be the soundtrack to my 2018 summer. Some of the tracks take us in more of a pop-focused direction than I would have expected, but he makes it work really damn well and you just can’t help but sing along and smile.
