My girl George Maple is back and hot damn she is bringing the fiyah!
Maple has been overseas the last few months working on some magic and now we get the first taste of what is to come from her debut album.
“’Kryptonite’ is a celebration of freedom, love, sexuality and expression. I hope when you listen to this song you want to let go, sing loudly, tell someone you love them, be grateful for what you have, spread good vibes, accept one another and express yourself in whatever weird and wonderful way feels right,” Maple said.
Her signature sound and productions run throughout this new track and it really does make you feel good. This is a momentous step forward for the artist, and a testament to her originality and vision.
Maple is en route back to Oz for the Groovin The Moo tour and if you haven’t been to a George Maple show yet, I can assure you it is not to be missed. She will blow your mind and then some! Bring on the Moo!
With ‘Kryptonite’ leading the charge for her album, Maple has shared with us a little bit of what we can expect from it, and it sounds epic.
“I’m going to lead you into many rooms and tell you stories written across many moons. If there was a sign on this door it would read “cocaine disco.” The room would be appropriately themed, and I would be wearing some ridiculous attire encrusted with jewels. I cannot wait to share many other intimate events with you this year. If you hold my hand and trust me, we are going to have so much fun… stay tuned,” she said.
This is the year of George Maple and in the words of the fine lady herself, “We are just getting started.”
