Following on from his highly-acclaimed double single release with Shallou and BJOERN on collaborative duties, Kasbo returns in impeccable fashion with a luscious new single titled ‘This Is It’, an enchanting piece of electronic music that features the pristine vocals of Frida Sundemo.
Kasbo utilises a significant amount of openness within the production of ‘This Is It’, with a superb combination of keys and pads setting the heavenly soundscape in tact all while Sundemo‘s vocals have plenty of room to leave us in awe with their utter beauty on display. Slowly but surely, the percussive groove makes it’s presence felt with an uplifting tempo on display all while the synths make their presence felt that energise the mix to incredible heights and truly transform the release into a euphoric anthem.
“Me and Frida have been working together for years and she’s always been one of my favorite singers. I wrote to her about making something new together and sent over a few instrumentals. For one of them she wrote the vocal idea for “This is it”. As always with her there was just so much emotion and presence that I felt I wanted to produce something new for it specifically to do her vocals justice. We wanted to channel the feeling of realizing you’re like “right where you’re supposed to be”. Letting go of wants and needs and feeling content with where you are right now.” – Kasbo
