After the long awaited release of his debut EP ‘SAD DISCO’ late last year, Naarm/Melbourne-based artist Arty Ziff is back and hitting the ground running with a sparkling new single ‘acetone’, his first single of 2024 which features Naarm/Melbourne-based outfit Cry Club on collaborative duties.

Mixed by Thomas Purcell (Wave Racer) and mastered by Wayne Sutherland (Dom Dolla, Motez), ‘acetone’ evokes the brightness of summer with its shimmering soundscape that instantly lifts your spirit through those warm synths, a driving bass line and crunchy percussion, which intertwines beautifully with those uplifting guitars of Jono Tooke and mesmerizing vocals of Heather Riley from Cry Club that depict a journey of love and connection that just isn’t working for both parties.

“‘acetone’ is about trying to be someone but things just aren’t lining up. It’s about hoping to have one night together even though I won’t be perfect” – Arty Ziff
