Melbourne-based producer Hitch and Paris404 have combined forces for an absolute scorcher of a track with ‘Heat’, a tale of toxicity in relationships set to the backdrop of a seductive soundscape with plenty of energy and groove held within.
‘Heat’ begins in a mysteriousness, rising from the warped synths and pads setting the tone right before Paris404‘s stunning vocals that stand tall in the centre of the mix. With those buoyant vocals playing off the groove held in the percussion, Hitch builds the narrative into an explosive chorus whereby the synths and bass come to the forefront with plenty of passion and power that energises all within their path.
“Heat’ is an energetic, restless, and sexy powerhouse of a track that Paris & I began writing in June of 2022. Production-wise, I aimed to bring the elements and groove of Pop and House music that I find so catchy and captivating into one song. And lyrically, we wanted to reflect on the thrill that toxic relationships tend to create. As ironic as that may sound, I wanted to explore the theme of how we as people strive to find adrenaline and happiness even in heart-breaking & tragic situations.” – Hitch
