Top 20 Albums of 2022 by Jez Ryan

As each year comes to a close we like to look back at some of the albums that have helped us get to this point with our sanity in-tact. Like every year there has been a huge number of albums/eps that have made a big impact on me, and culling those down to your top 10 can be a really difficult process (so I went for 20 instead haha).

I manage a few artists and I wholeheartedly love everything they do. Some of that comes with being part of the entire journey, but then I work with them because I love their music, so it all goes hand-in-hand really.

One of the big ones for me this year was “everythingeverydayeverything” by Golden Vessel. So much thought, time and creativity went into creating that one and it is without doubt the best album I’ve heard all year.

Just a few weeks ago one of my other management artists, cln, released his second album “Over, All Again”, which is an incredibly beautiful body of work, and Benji Lewis also released a five-track ep called “Floating” which was a heartfelt and emotional treat.

1tbsp (aka Golden Vessel’s side-project) released an ep just recently called “Joan”, and one of my label artists, 44 Ardent, released an incredible seven-track ep called “intothedeep”, both of which have been stuck on repeat this year.

Then there were a bunch of other artists that I don’t work with who also blew me away this year, and you can check all of those out below, but one of the big ones that I need to mention was UK artist Jordan Stephens and his album “Let Me Die Inside You” – seriously, if you’ve not heard this album you really need to fix that immediately.
