Nu-disco producer Satin Jackets has been on a roll in the last few months with a string of captivating singles in the lead up to his new double LP ‘Reunion’ dropping later this month, and now he’s got one final glimpse for us in the form of his new single ‘First Thing’, a groovy number that sees the calming vocals of Tailor further add to the vibrant soundscape on offer.

‘First Thing’ comes through with all of those trademark elements that we’ve come to love in each Satin Jackets release, that being a super smooth bass line setting the tone amongst the lively percussion groove on offer in the rhythm section. This is then elevated further with the combination of organic and electronic keys providing a bright colour palate that evokes that summer influence throughout soundscape, and in doing so allows Tailor the perfect podium for his calming vocals to sit just right in the mix and allow that free-flowing nature of the whole track to be maintained throughout.
