London-based producer Sam Day teams up with Ohio-based singer/songwriter Meggie York for a jubilant and bubbly electronic/pop release titled ‘One More Night’ that unearths a warmth in the midst of a fleeting relationship, and utilises the playfulness of the soundscape to showcase the emotions associated with wanting to the romance alive.
Beginning with an openness with atmospheric pads and rising synths, ‘One More Night’ creates plenty of space for York’s captivating vocals to take centre stage and introduce the emotional context of the piece and leads us into the energetic chorus section. Through the use of enforcing drums to raise the intensity, Day unleashes all the vibrancy in its final form when we reach the chorus through explosive vocal samples, robust synths and bass and a joyous groove that is extremely addictive.
