Tamaraebi - 'Brown Angel'

When I’m sifting through my inbox each day its the little gems like this that remind me how much I love what I do.

Lagos/UK newcomer Tamaraebi has just released a new single called ‘Brown Angel’ which is hitting all of my sweat spots, and that dual-vocal delivery that kicks in at 2:27 just gets my goose-bumps popping.

‘Brown Angel’ is the first taste of an ep that Tamaraebi has on the way called “Spectrum”, and it also comes with a very cool retro-styled music video that suits the vibe of this song really well.

“The video was directed by Attend Jamera and we came up with the concept together. We shot it in an old pub in Peckham at the height of the Black Lives Matter protests last year. I wanted to do something visually that contributed to black art and also celebrated the varied beauty of blackness – from a fuller figured model to really dark-skinned ones. I wanted everyone to enjoy the beauty of blackness in its natural element, no matter what race they were.” – Tamaraebi
