Over the last few months Australian artist Akurei has given us two exceptional singles, ‘Stockholm’ and ‘Hollow’, which also came with exciting news of his impending sophomore ep, “September”.

That ep is being released this week and it includes those two tracks alongside two more previously unheard gems, ‘Quarter Tank Full’ and ‘Clockwork’, which round out this ep perfectly with their electro-R&B/alt-pop goodness.

“‘September’ is a collection of songs I wrote abroad in September of last year, and a soundtrack to a quarter life crisis. All of the initial song writing was done over a few cities across Europe in Hostels, Airbnb’s and living rooms. The exciting thing for me was returning home with the songs and coming back to them and seeing them develop and grow as I pulled them apart and rebuilt them. I did a lot more production on this EP compared to August, with a little help from Maxwell (Golden Vessel) on Stockholm and Quarter Tank Full.” – Akurei

‘September’ is available everywhere now via Spotify and Apple Music, and if you missed it recently be sure to check out the Maxwell Byrne (aka Golden Vessel) shot & directed video below for the ep’s lead-single ‘Stockholm’.
