Following on from working on the monster hit ‘East Atlanta Love Letter’ by US rapper 6LACK, Melbourne multi-instrumentalist/producer LUCIANBLOMKAMP rounds out the forthcoming ‘Sick Of What I Don’t Understand’ trilogy with the ghostly mover ‘Control Together’ which sees long-time collaborator Rosebud Leach enthralling us on the vocal front.
LUCIANBLOMKAMP evokes a driving sensation within the percussion to incept the piece, with true to fashion haunting echoed vocals and pads to set a murky landscape for the haunting vocals of Rosebud Leach to lure us in. A real contrast between the vocals of Leach and LUCIANBLOMKAMP emerges once the multi-instrumentalist brings forth his trademark husky melodies that adds an intriguing colour palate to the soundscape, which is matched through an intensified breakdown in the instrumentation that accentuates the club influence centralised in the core of the piece. This period reaches incredible highs once both vocalists combine in the latter parts of ‘Control Together’ that truly captivates you and leaves you wanting so much more.
