OMG! New artist alert! If you ever had doubts that 70s styling could fuse with modern-day hip-hop, Copenhagen based artist Necklace, aka Niklas Grool, is here to prove you wrong. The two eras have come together so seamlessly and I just love, love, love it.
This pop project has delivered a brand new song and music video, ‘Try This’ which is an ode to the philosophy of “spending a couple weeks just doing things that you like”. I really need to take a leaf out of his book.
It’s a positive pop anthem that has those cool urban hip-hop beats to make it very new school. Necklace’s long golden locks will have any Aussie hipster jealous, and seeing it glisten in the sun is just beauteous.
I draw a real similarity in look as well as vibe to Aussie rapper Allday who has always stayed true to his unique stylings, and it’s the reason people love him.
There’s no doubt Necklace will capture the attention of the mainstream; but remember you were here from day one.
