Ermahgerrd you guys, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival kicks off for 2015 in less than a week!

This revisit of the lineup should get you psyched for this year’s festival, if you’re somehow not already about to wet yourself with excitement.

Flying Lotus
Enough said… No seriously, clocking in with one of the most innovative and hyped albums of 2014, You’re Dead!, featured much loved collabs with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Niki Randa. The most exciting part is that Flying Lotus is bringing his fully tricked out 3D show to Laneway, ‘Layer 3’. Bring it on!

Striking vocals, sexy lyrics, menacing and intense tracks like ‘Brain’ and ‘Beggin for Thread’ make BANKS my must-see for Laneway. Following the September release of debut LP Goddess, and a back-to-back year of sold out concerts, I’m anticipating a showstopper.

These guys have been consistently nailing it with genre-fusing albums since the start of this century, but something about their sixth studio album Our Love really captured people’s imagination. I’ll be holding my breath for tracks like ‘Can’t Do Without You’, title track ‘Our Love’ and oldie-but-goodie ‘Odessa’.

FKA Twigs
If only to see how racy videos like ‘Pendulum’ and ‘Two Weeks’ transpose to an on stage performance, I’ll be front and centre. FKA Twigs won hearts in 2014 with her original brand of R&B and confident, woman-on-top-esque lyrics, and seeing how the former dancer brings to life her diverse repertoire will be a treat.

Little Dragon
A favourite here at acid stag, the Swedish quartet will be bringing their unique electro-pop sound to Laneway showing off hits such as ‘Klapp Klapp’, ‘Paris’ and slow jams like ‘Pretty Girls’ from their fourth LP Nabuma Rubberband. What I’m really hoping to see though is that smooth as velvet ‘Millionaire’ Kelis cover from triple j‘s Like a Version where frontwoman Yukimi Nagano showed us once and for all that she is cooler than everyone in the world, ever (including you André 3000).

There is literally a plane full of other super talented acts coming to Laneway that I’m pumped to see, some cities still have tickets left so make sure you get on board.
