filous & Golden Vessel - 'Great Big Warm House'

Australian artist Golden Vessel has teamed up with his Austrian friend Filous for a brand new ep titled “Golden Vessel produced by Filous” which is scheduled for release in August, and this week they are giving us the first taste of what we can expect with the warm indie-folk/pop sounds of ‘Great Big Warm House’.

Golden Vessel shares; “Matthias had the idea of us making an EP together where I would just focus on the songwriting & singing and he would produce me. As someone that’s usually very hands on as the producer I was a bit sceptical but excited. I flew over to Vienna in march 2022 and we wrote this song on the first day.

For me this song is about making very big claims & commitments in relationships, like in the marriage vows “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.” But then once you’re in the relationship, you might start looking for the easy way out or compromising.

I think I’m really inquisitive about relationships and there’s so much to observe and question. Between all the latest tik tok advice on red flags & relationship comparisons to experience difficult periods in my own relationships to seeing some of my friends recently get divorced, it’s all very overwhelming. And the idea of wanting to just be in a great big warm house with someone you love feels pretty idealistic in a humorous way to me.”
