k?d - 'YOU AND ME'

Lat last year American electronic producer K?d gave us a debut album called “CAGE SCRIPT” that I’m sure a lot of you are all over by now but this week he’s given us a new track called ‘YOU AND ME’ which is said to be a bonus track from the album!

‘YOU AND ME’ initialises in a hypnotising manner with the emotionally-fuelled melodies setting the tone amongst the swift drums and rising synths, all while not giving too much away of what’s in store for later on in the track but giving fans just enough to be hooked from the word go. Once the track intensifies its way into the chorus sections through tactical synth insertions, K?d goes into overdrive with a menacing display of euphoric electronic influence that provides so much ferocity and passion through to your speakers.

“Phonk has been around for ages but it has recently had a lot of success and evolved into a newer sound with the internet. At the same time, I have also been getting into the car scene, building my first project car (this is actually the first time I started driving again in five years because I’ve been so busy touring). Naturally, the car community and phonk go hand-in-hand, so it was destined for me to make some phonk music for fun. As time went by, I noticed I haven’t seen phonk music translated that well at shows, with very few DJs playing it at festivals or clubs. So, I thought I should make a track that still has an electronic feel and can be played in those settings. This is the result of that idea.” – K?d
