A newcomer out of Houston, Texas who is making himself known as STATEOFLIVING has a new single to share with us this week titled ‘Follow Me’ which has him working with Seattle artist Portyl, and I’m, certain you’ll agree it is quite an impressive treat.
This is one of those songs that instantly demands your attention and keeps you completely hooked all the way through. As he reveals below the song first started while jamming to an Odesza track and from there it just took on a life of its own.
“Portyl and I had a ton fun with this song. It’s funny because the main sample is just a modulated raw recording of me playing a cover of an ODESZA song on the piano. I tossed that recording in Ableton’s sampler and watched the whole song come to life.” ~ STATEOFLIVING
