German producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Roosevelt is revisiting the track that first introduced many fans to his dreamy electronic sound with the streaming release of his cover of 1977’s ‘Small Hours’ by John Martyn (listen to the original here).
Originally recorded in 2013, the heartfelt cover arrives ahead of the 10-year anniversary edition of Roosevelt’s self-titled debut album (due on August 21). Blending the warmth of the original with his signature shimmering synths and understated groove, Roosevelt’s version of ‘Small Hours’ remains a standout moment in his catalogue more than a decade later.
