Fred Again.. has gifted us with some incredible moments through 2024, and it appears that he’s come through with another treat just before the year ends in ‘two more days’, two new tracks that feature cuts from Angie McMahon and John Martyn that are a great start to the weekend.
‘light dark light’ enters our hearts in a more mellowed out styling, whereby McMahon’s gentle vocals take centre stage and hypnotise you with their catchiness amongst the minimalistic approach held in the instrumentation on offer. On the contrary, ‘little mystery’ delves down a more buoyant and vibrant pathway whereby the liveliness is on display across all aspect, whether that be the synths jumping around or the playfulness in Martyn’s melodies that collectively exert a high level of positivity in their approach.
