With news of a brand new album titled ‘OUCH’ being released in September this year, HONNE continue their trend of impressive single releases with yet another glimpse of what’s in store with ‘Girl In The Orchestra’, a gentle offering filled with a plethora of instrumentation utilised all to the tune of a lively and breezy tempo throughout.
Throughout the journey that is ‘Girl In The Orchestra’, we observe a playfulness in the soundscape created which is evident from the wide array of instrumentation utilised such as the glockenspiels, guitars and autoharp to name a few. This sits in beautifully with the crunchy percussion held in the foundations of the release, and plays off of the playful melodic flow of the vocals that float effervescently.
“IT’S ALBUM TIME! Our new album ‘OUCH’ will be yours on September 6th. We’ve both been through enormous life changes over the last couple of years. We’ve had some of the most beautiful, deeply love-filled moments of our lives, whilst also some of the most frightening and challenging moments too. They’re all recorded in this album. Just to make sure we squeezed every last drop of personality into it – it was written, recorded, produced, performed and mixed by just us two, in London. Love you all. James & Andy xx” – HONNE (via Instagram)
