Melbourne-based producer Hitch and Sydney-based, Swedish-born songstress grandpa julie have combined forces for a succinct collaborative effort titled ‘Outbound’, a contrasting electronic offering showcasing elements of contemplative bliss and explosiveness that evokes a significant amount of colour and energy throughout its duration.

‘Outbound’ sees the absolute best of both artists on display with plenty of room for their expertise to shine both individually and in tandem. With grandpa julie‘s luscious vocals sitting beautifully within the mix, Hitch utilises the pianos and pads to provide a warm and glowing soundscape that supports the emotively-driven vocals that builds into a lively chorus filled with plenty of passion and drive within.

“This has been a project that I had been sitting on for quite some time. I was drowning in writer’s block for a while until Julia (grandpajuly) sent through a topline for the chorus which finally ignited a whole lot of direction and vision. To put it simply, the concept I wanted to express in this song was to be comfortable in emotionally supporting the people around you and reminding ourselves that we should all seek comfort, care and support from each other when we’re in a dark place. I shared this topic with Julia and she came back to me with the most beautiful lyrics to communicate this theme. The song is called ‘Outbound’, and it is quite frankly my favorite Hitch track yet!” – Hitch
