After a few months of teasing Korean-American artist Yaeji released her debut album last week. It’s called “With A Hammer” and it is a very generous 13-track collection of her unique sound & style, which was composed across a two-year period in New York, Seoul, and London.

A press note says it is a diaristic ode to self-exploration; the feeling of confronting one’s own emotions, and the transformation that is possible when we’re brave enough to do so, and in this case, Yaeji is examining her relationship with anger.

“With A Hammer is out now!! my first album. Shouts out to all the friends and collaborators on this album and everyone who helped bring Hammer to life. Alsooo we are on tourrrr! see u all soon.” ~ Yaeji (via Instagram)

Yaeji has just kicked off a run of shows in North America plus announced a UK/EUR tour for later in the year (November), and she’s also headed back to Australia later this month for VividLIVE and I’m sure those shows will be something quite special – see ticketing info here
