Fresh off the recent release of his EP ‘Don’t Leave Yet’, Melbourne artist Olive Amun continues to make his presence felt with an edgy new single titled ‘Deadweight’, an alt/hip-hop release filled with gritty and buzzing sensations that deliver plenty of grit alongside the commanding vocals of Amun that soar through your speakers.

Featuring production from fellow Australians Fossa Beats (Mike Posner, Allday, Trevor Daniel) and Len20 (Kid Cudi, Cordae, Young Thug), ‘Deadweight’ hypnotises you with the repetitive guitar riff becoming the central focus of the track whilst intertwining with Amun’s powerful melodies to hit that little bit harder. With crunchy beats bringing that extra bit of edge to the mix, ‘Deadweight’ soars with significant amount of intent that leaves an impact on you immediately.

“Deadweight” touches on a mix of real relationships and experiences, but also has some dark fantasies that are sprinkled on top to stir up the record a little bit. I wanted it to feel like a Tarantino movie. I want people to like it but I want them to like it because it’s rough and sour and makes you a little uncomfortable” – Olive Amun
