We’ve featured Canadian newcomer Eli Dasilva a few times over the last six months or so and he just keeps going from strength to strength.
He turned 17 last week and decided to celebrate, and show his appreciation to all of his new fans, with the release of this very impressive three-track ep, “She Thinks 17’s Sexy”, which I think is an excellent demonstration of this young artist’s songwriting abilities.
“This EP was about giving thanks. The people who support me have been going all out and I thought, “let’s give them something to celebrate.” I turned 17 on the day the EP dropped and to see how people reacted to it is the best gift I could ever get. My cousin Joshua and I Raposo did everything. We made the beats, and mixed it all through zoom because of covid rules. Music is the love of my life and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better way to spend my birthday.” – Eli Dasilva
