I thought I’d heard all of the future-bass music I could handle, that is until I was given the opportunity to listen to WILDLYF’s track ‘Be There’, days before its release.
With his previous releases having received a multitude of success in the form of millions of streams across social media platforms, I knew he would be under pressure to make his debut original unique, but true to his youthful persona. After listening to just the first half of ‘Be There’, I was astonished by how unique and enthralling it was. From the soft, elegant vocals by Erin Finlay to the masterfully layered drop created by WILDLYF, the song’s composition is one full of emotion and fresh sounds.
“‘Be There’ came into fruition after one of the worst writer’s blocks I’d had in years. As a result, the track came from a real, honest place in my soul. That candor further transcended as soon as Erin lent her vocal talent to the single. I see my debut as one of those songs I will look back on in the future and still feel the same way I do about it now.” – WILDLYF
Based in the Central Coast of Australia, Conor Moran, aka WILDLYF, is steadily following in the footsteps of other up and coming producers from his homeland such as What So Not and Slumberjack, on his way to being just as well known as them. As he merges intense Hip-Hop and Pop inspired Future-Bass sounds, Moran continues to create a signature sound for himself. Having received support from EDM superstars such as NGHTMRE, Just A Gent, and SLANDER (just to name a few), WILDLYF will proceed to remain on our radar.
Congratulations on releasing your debut original, Conor!
