First up I’d like to apologize to NYC artist Blonder for taking so long to get his ep feature up, and secondly I apologize to all of you for not sharing this ep with you sooner!
‘$5’ is the name of Blonder’s debut ep, a five-track collection of tunes that are the perfect showcase for his indie electro-pop sound. His songwriting skills are impressive and his voice is infectious and inviting – it actually reminds me of Julian Casablancas of The Strokes in some places.
The ep’s tracks were written whilst in a serious relationship that was on the way out for some time, “It’s about romance and sex, but I want people to see the whole thing, the emotional world that I was in during that time.” – Blonder
