Aberland – Meta Valley EP [Review + Stream]

words by Michael Hutchinson

Melbourne’s own Ignatius Glefedder is Ableard, an emerging writer and producer whose brand spanking new EP Meta Valley is rampant with italo-disco grooves. There’s so much quality in these seven tracks you won’t want to take it off repeat.

There’s touches of the 80’s and 90’s throughout and pitted with vintage-sounding vocals, as well as the dreamy ‘Look Around You’ featuring Cade. There’s softer, more chilled moments slotted alongside glistening beats in which, as repeated in ‘Dance In Space’, “I can’t keep still”.
Like a bunch of highlighters, Meta Valley draws attention to all the good in music as it pulls you to the dancefloor.
