After years of defining the Australian disco-house scene as one-half of the acclaimed duo Midnight Pool Party, songwriter and producer Oliver Dela Cruz is excited to launch a new solo project called Le Cruize.
The project officially kicks off this week with the release of the debut single, ‘SWEET DAY’, a glorious track that signals a personal and creative evolution for the Sydney-based artist.
“This project has been a long time coming. As one half of Midnight Pool Party, I’m constantly writing, experimenting, and building ideas—some find their way into MPP records, while others get left behind. Over time, I built up an archive of unfinished tracks, and ‘Sweet Day’ came from the decision to finally revisit that space and create something that’s entirely my own. This song is about seizing the moment, because life moves too fast not to take chances, especially when it comes to love. There’s something powerful in being open, in wearing your heart on your sleeve. That kind of vulnerability takes courage.
