Wellington-based producer, songwriter and performer Tarn PK utilises the inspiration of the burnout and mundane nature of the 9-5 work life to create a cross-genre collection of gripping offerings in the form of a brand new EP titled ‘F.O.M.O’.

Within each of the individual offerings displayed in ‘F.O.M.O’, we see soaring soundscapes being created with plenty of depth in production to go around. Tarn PK utilises a wide-range of instrumentation in his texturised mixes, such as brittle percussion fusing with ascending synths to create an energized production

“F.O.M.O’ was a reflection of working a 9-5 job and wanting to see more progression in my musical career. A mix of feelings of looking at where other people were in their careers at my age and this sense of frustration. The first song written for the project was the track ‘SleepWalking’ which describes that feeling of the ‘zombies’ walking through the city at 7am and not being fully alive. Once this lyrical angle was uncovered, more seemed to flow in a similar direction that would become the through line for the EP” – Tarn PK
