ILTON has come through with an abundance of gifts for us all to enjoy in the form of ‘Chapter I’, the first instalment of a three-part series leading up to the album ‘SAD BOY WORLD’ which includes two tantalising new tracks.
‘My Place’ leads us into the instalment with a swiftness being apparent from the outset, held in a driving tempo via the brittle percussion that works in tandem with the glowing synth chords and the gentle melodies that take us into a whole new dimension. ‘Same Thoughts’ provides more of a groove in its approach, continuing with a murkiness in the soundscape but in this instance the synths provide plenty of grit and energy that gives the production plenty of depth to be amazed at.
