Crooked Colours are marking a new era of music with the release of a brand new single ‘I Can’t Forget You’, the first that sees frontman Philip Slabber taking control of the project and enlisting Julian Hamilton of The Presets on co-writing duties.
‘I Can’t Forget You’ takes us down a darkened colour palate with its approach, held by the murky synths setting the tone in the initial stages and furthered on by the deepened beats and bass holding the foundations in tact. With Slabber’s trademark vocals standing tall in the spacious mix, those catchy and buoyant melodies fit perfectly with the liveliness of the synths and percussion rising to the moment.
“The first light of a new dawn for Crooked Colours, ‘I Can’t Forget You’ I co-wrote with Julian Hamilton from The Presets and it represents the first step on a new path for the project. I hope you enjoy it, and listen out for plenty more to come.” – Philip Slabber, Crooked Colours.
