Australian funk-lords Close Counters gave us a new single back on November 28th called ‘FEELING TAKES OVER ME’ which saw them collaborating with LA-based soul icon Lyric Jones, and while we are a little late to the party on this one I’m sure you’ll be glad we finally arrived.
“Delving into some deep funky business on this one… this song is simply about surrendering yourself to the bodily joy felt through dance music. It was born out of a writing session in LA at Justin Stanley’s studio (Prince, Nikka Costa, Eric Clapton) in North Hollywood. Lyric’s vocals just blend perfectly with this kinda groove.
