Evoking echoes of Wave Racer and Porter Robinson, ‘All the things I couldn’t change’ is an extremely appealing album that has something for just about everyone across its duration. With crisp beats and sublime bass lines setting the luscious backbone in tact, N33T elevates the production levels to incredible heights with brightness across the vibrant colour palate compiled that feels like a ray of sunshine is being blasted through your speakers.
“I started the project in September of 2021. It is in a sense a coming-of-age project. I wrote most of it during a time when I was just on the precipice of being an adult and I continued to write with that in mind even after having moved on into adulthood. It’s like a time capsule of my mental state from the ages of 16 to 18. It can be an incredibly transformative time in anyone’s life. New and conflicting emotions arose as I became more and more scrutinous of my own self. I became a psychological hypochondriac, constantly and vigorously examining my mental state and finding any reason to become more depressed. I started the album in that headspace and finished it with that version of myself now only in hindsight. It’s essentially a non-linear diary of my mental health journey over the past 3 years. ” – N33T
