Fresh off the release of ‘UP DOWN BOUNCE’ with Australian trio daste., Los Angeles producer veggi has just dropped his new ep “FLORA” boasting a tidy five-track collection of danceable delights, and opens with second collaborative song with daste. called ‘WARM NIGHTS’, which also has a third collaborator in the mix, Bali/Australia based artist and producer narou.
‘FLORA’ sees a clear and concise focus on powerful foundations that transfer the groove from the ground floor up and enforces the accompanying instrumentation to set up its game and match the addictiveness on offer. This is well and truly achieved through luscious vocals that meld into the vibrant soundscapes with absolute ease, as well as the stunning keys and pads scattered throughout providing that extra dose of brightness across the glistening mixes compiled.
“this has honestly been the hardest project i’ve worked on sonically, especially writing the songs i was singing on. personally it’s always been a hurdle trying to get myself to sing on songs. i went back and forth all year trying to figure out the sound for this project, and so many times i went back to the drawing board. but there’s always that one song you make that sets the tone for everything, which for me was DONT THINK ABOUT IT MUCH back in june. just jumping into it and learning to become more vulnerable in my writing has been so healing and eye opening for me. ya boy can write AND produce now” – veggi (via Instagram)
