Fresh off received four nominations for the 2024 ARIA Awards including ‘Best Group’, RÜFÜS DU SOL continue to provide us with exquisite glimpses of their forthcoming album ‘Inhale / Exhale’ with a brand new single ‘Pressure’ that showcases darkened electronic music at its absolute best.
‘Pressure’ sets itself up with an ominousness from the outset through the fogginess injected via the pads and the echoed nature of the vocal sample that creates a great backdrop for those trademark vocals to stand tall in the centre of the mix. Once we arrive at the chorus, the synth bass makes its presence felt with a buzzing impact providing plenty of grit into the soundscape that is further instilled by the powerful percussion adding a hefty dose of drive to the mix.
