UK-raised, Melbourne-based electronic producer Dave Machine has been gifting us with some impressive ear worms over the last few months, and now he’s come through with a plethora of high quality tracks in the form of a new album ‘HYPER FRAME FIXATION’.
Across the twelve-tracks on offer, we see a clear objective of pushing the boundaries of conventional music with a wide array of cross-genre influence and liveliness on display throughout the journey of ‘HYPER FRAME FIXATION’. Dave Machine creates his own new dimension with off-kilter grooves adding plenty of obscurity to the soundscape, amongst the soaring and at times robust synths and bass that collectively exerts a considerable amount of energy that keeps you hooked for the long haul.
“HYPER FRAME FIXATION is a manifestation of the strange bubble I was in for a couple of years. I was spending every minute of my free time either watching music production tutorials or making music. I would wake up at three in the morning to make beats and was feeling very removed from reality. I had a huge chunk of half finished ideas, so I devised a system to get them finished. I managed to finish 19 songs in three months. I posted about my process and Oli hit me up to release it as an album!” – Dave Machine
