It may not be summer across the globe anymore but Young Franco, p-rallel and Dana Williams are here to make sure the sun is shining no matter where you are with a flip on the classic ‘Sing It Back’, giving the track a copious amount of laid-back groove which is the perfect accompaniment for those drives down the coast or simply unwinding in style.
‘Sing It Back’ sets itself up with an addictive amount of groove in those luscious foundations set, all while the vocals of Dana Williams shine in their divine nature with plenty of spaciousness in the production to showcase the raw beauty of those classic melodies we’ve come to love about the original. Young Franco and p-rallel maintain a vibrancy within the approach of this rework, maintaining those sublime guitars but providing a more laid-back, beachside feel to the soundscape that just oozes charisma throughout.
“p-rallel was in Sydney for like 48 hours back in December. I’m a huge fan of his Forward EP, especially the track with Jords. I hit him up and we worked from my place for a couple of hours and came up with this record. Summer in Australia is a bit of a special place to be… Sing it Back is a classic tune and just feels like Aus summer, so it came together really nicely. When I flew over to LA in March, Dana and I had a session to do the vocals and banged it out in 30 mins. The rest is history!,” – Young Franco
