Running Touch marks his first release since 2022 in a major manner with the release of ‘Lost’, a polished production that showcases the absolute best of what we’ve come to know and love from the artist with that perfect balance between organic and electronic instrumentation that encapsulates a significant amount of groove within.
The addictive groove held in ‘Lost’ sets itself in tact from the word go, with the four to the floor style percussion setting the tone in tandem with the guitars that give plenty of room for Running Touch‘s calming vocals to set the scene. As we progress through, following a momentary reprieve whereby the guitars stun us with their raw beauty right that leads into the jam-packed chorus which explodes with a considerable amount of energy and drive within.
“Lost is a song that I started when I was 21 and had just started this project! Then it was just an acoustic pre chorus that was inspired by acoustic house – Like Prayer In C. It went through about 3 different versions over the years. But I am so happy it made its way into Lost. It’s about connection, but physical connection and the realisation that you can’t really go deeper with someone. A friend who was in a long distance relationship inspired these new lyrics. It was a really sad, but realistic story. Sounds wise. I love the anthemic festival sound. I’ve always been drawn to it. This is no different.” ~ Running Touch
