American producer Cotton Duck (aka Houis) brings forth a lovely new single titled ‘Reset’ which features Australian artist Fractures on vocals for a seamless collaborative effort showcasing the absolute best of all artists involved.
‘Reset’ sets up a gentle soundscape in which Fractures‘ soothing vocals sit beautifully amongst the lightness of the pads and rising percussion, which hits the surface and injects a gentle groove right into the core of the release and achieves a laid-back feel which showcases an effortlessness as well as a touch of tranquility throughout.
“Having been a Fractures fan long before I even started producing music, I was so excited for the opportunity to work with Mark! He sent me a large folder of his demo acapellas, I chose one that I really connected with and wrote a whole instrumental around it over the course of two days.
My focus for this alias has predominantly been to make more energetic leaning dance music, but given the melancholic nature of Mark’s vocals I decided to pivot into a more downtempo style, which is honestly my favorite listening genre.” – Cotton Duck
