Fresh from returning to our hearts with ‘Music Is Better’, RÜFÜS DU SOL are back at it with another thumping release ‘Lately’, a darkened-electronic offering filled with tantalising instrumentation and that uncompromising groove we’ve come to know and love about the trio.
‘Lately’ sees RÜFÜS DU SOL evoke that darkened colour palate we have seen in their more recent albums, whereby those soaring synths intertwine with the emphatic synth bass that creates a powerful soundscape that is coupled beautifully with uplifting deep-house styled groove in the percussion. With the jam-packed mix boasting plenty of power and drive, we see those gentle vocals stand tall atop the soundscape and cement their place in our head with the catchy hook on offer.
