Australian producer Willaris. K is back with yet another stunning release in ‘I Miss You Now’, which sees him enlist the likes of Naarm-based producers Chloe Kae (Kllo) and CRUSH3d for a darkened offering filled with emotionally-fuelled vocals that’ll hook you in straight away.
‘I Miss You Now’ sets the scene with a spacious soundscape that allowed Kae’s gentle vocals the perfect amount of room to set the scene, all while the accompanying instrumentation slowly but surely makes its presence felt. With the deep and brooding percussion bubbling away at the surface, as well as the peaking through of the resounding synths, ‘I Miss You Now’ takes full flight when the foundations intensify with plenty of off-kilter goodness on display to give the release that emphatic energy it well and truly deserves.
‘I Miss You Now’ came from friendships made with Sam and Chloe around the same time of the start of making my album. I’d just heard Chloe’s song ‘Recluse’ (prod. By CRUSH3d and GXNXVS) and immediately wanted to connect with them both, they became close friends of mine and people I talk to a lot about music and life. ‘I Miss You Now’ came together from a lot of experiments and the many conversations we had.” – Willaris.
