Newcastle artist Tim Sun evokes a considerable amount of sparsity within a jam-packed new single ‘Rotations’, an offering that throws around plenty of colour and energy throughout its impressive display that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat.
‘Rotations’ combines various elements of electronic and organic instrumentation together, such as the key elements of fast-paced percussion and energising synths, and creates a formidable duo that in turn creates a significantly strengthened mix. In particular, the percussion on offer acts as a central focus point whereby the off-kilter nature is utilised as a launching pad for the rest of the accompanying instrumentation, and in doing so ensures plenty of passion and power is shared across the mix.

I’ve been making high energy music lately which has been really fun. I’ve been taking a lot of inspiration from artists like Aphex Twin and Floating Points lately.
