Over the past few months we’ve been blessed with some impressive cuts from multi-instrumentalist and producer Daktyl all in the lead up to his next EP, and now the wait is well and truly over with the long-awaited release of ‘Wave’, a seven-track release filled with some of the best indie/electronic music you’ll come across this year.

With a star-studded collaborator list that features San Holo, Alice Ivy, Lizzy Land, Anjulie and Zeke Finn, ‘Wave’ travels through its duration as a textural delight through those luscious soundscapes compiled. With a clear focus on those solid foundations held in the crisp beats compiled, Daktyl utilises the platform created to offer listeners a sense of uplift through the captivation injected into the core of the mix through the depth held in the synths and pads utilised.

“The concept behind Wave is simple; to try to capture the feeling of ‘right now’ as much as possible. To really be present without overthinking the future or the past. Our lives are essentially momentary waves. Crashing against shores in the night. Here and gone. Writing music is where I feel the most present, and I really wanted to write an ode to that presence that is itself the biggest gift I’ve ever received in my life. Thanks for listening and being here, it’s a blessing to share this music I make with you all and I don’t take it for granted.” – Daktyl
