In the lead up to the much anticipated new album ‘Bloom’ out in September, Ben Böhmer continues to provide us with glimpses of what’s to come in the form of a new single ‘Hiding’ which features Lykke Li on collaborative duties for a euphoric offering with plenty of intensity within.
‘Hiding’ sets up a buzzing soundscape from the outset with a plethora of synth and pad depth on display in the initial stages that provides an atmospheric platform for Li’s soaring vocals to move majestically across. With an off-kilter approach to the percussion being injected into the core of the release, ‘Hiding’ finds a way to maintain an elegance with the luscious pianos still providing a contrast in the colour palate amongst the sparsity on offer in the foundations.
